Gold Fork Hot Springs - Donnelly, Idaho

Idaho's Southwestern Hot Springs worth Seeing

When people in Idaho need a break, they get that break by visiting the southwestern portion of the state where they find the amazing expanse of the hot springs region.  There are various hot springs that dominate the area, including many that offer amazing and breathtaking landscape surrounding them.  If you are looking for something unique to do, you may just want to spend some time here, where the water is so warm it may be too hot to enjoy.  Locals love these springs and many believe they even offer healing powers.

One of the best first places to stop is in Marsing in the southwestern region.  Here, you will find the Givens Hot Springs.  These are popular for their beauty and you will not soon forget the things to do here, too.  The Givens Hot Springs are actually a family attraction because they have such a good design.  You will find large natural indoor pools for you and the family to relax in and simply soak away the worries.  There is also a large campground right outside as well as some of the oldest cabins, considered historic in their age, in the region.

You may also want to visit Gold Fork Hot Springs, which is located in the Donnelly area.  Just a bit away, they offer even more enjoyment.  Here, you will find a hot springs region that is open all year long (which makes for a fantastic winter escape.)  You will also find that this region offers something a bit more interesting.  The area offers mineral pools and hydro massage facilities, two features that are well loved and sought after.  There is also camping available here and resort accommodations can be found on HotelsCombined.com.

Also nearby is the Downata Hot Springs region.  Here, you have some great fun to enjoy.  There is a water playground from the hot springs, as well as a large pool, hot tub as some fun water slides.  This makes for a great family vacation because of the expansive design that it offers.  There is lodging available here, too.  These hot springs are located in Downey.

These three are just a few of the many hot springs regions found within the state of Idaho.  Yet, there is something truly amazing about this expansive location.  Plan to spend at least a bit of time visiting several of the springs so you can get a feel for what they offer.
